About Me

Background:
I hold a Batchelor of Arts degree in Sociology from NC State University and a Masters of Education degree in Counseling from the University of South Carolina at Columbia. I worked in the NC public schools as a guidance counselor at both the high school and elementary levels from 1991-1996. Following the birth of my son, I left the public schools to work part-time as a director of music at a local church. I joined the staff at CBDS in 2003 to serve as Development Coordinator and in 2005 moved to the High School to serve as a Guidance Counselor.

Family:
My husband, Bill, and I have been married since 1994. We have one precious son, Sam, who is a student at CBDS. Our family is a busy one, dividing our time between church activities; Sam’s extra-curricular endeavors; family pursuits such as hiking, biking, and music; and enjoying the company of friends and family.

Life Verse:
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Did you Know?
My husband finds it very interesting that somehow I have always managed to be in the “right place at the right time” to meet many famous people from Henry Kissinger to Paul McCartney.
